Apparently, the felines are fans of the show Prison Break.
As the crazy one has continued with her quest of completely disgusting the handlers by pooing at least once a day in the living quarters, the handlers have taken drastic measures. In an attempt to get her to use the feline latrines once again, the handlers have secluded her in a nice, private enclosure with three latrines at her disposal. The first night was a success. The crazy one settled easily into her new nighttime quarters, and proceeded to use the facilities with success.
The second night was a different story. The white, naughty one teamed up with the crazy one in an effort to move the blockade and release the fugitive pooer. The handlers could hear the white one talking to the crazy one through the wall the first half-hour of the night. When the formerly injured handler awoke the next morning, he found the crazy one sprawled out in the upper living quarters. However, no poo! He returned her to the pen while leaving to tend to work outside the boundaries of the zoo. When the other handler awoke two hours later, she was greeted by the crazy one's jubilant cries of success once again. Clearly the success of the two overnight escapes is the result of two great minds plotting together. The handlers now are hoping the pair won't happen upon a plan to make shanks and hide them around the enclosure.
This handler is sure that an eventful summer is in store . . .
